Definely welcomes seasoned legaltech operators with launch of Advisor Network

Advisors bring lived experience scaling legaltech in North America, accelerating the Company’s expansion in the region

14th October 2025 – Definely, an AI-powered legaltech company that allows lawyers to efficiently and accurately review complex contracts, has launched its Advisor Network to build on its growth and expansion in North America. 

Headlined by legaltech and SaaS executives from BigHand, Clio, Ontra, Relativity, and Verizon, the incoming advisors bring a tactical perspective to building and scaling high-growth go-to-market functions selling into large law, mid-market law, and corporate legal buyers. The Advisor Network launches as the Company accelerates its expansion in North America, following the appointment of Jeroen Plink to its Board and Robel Chiappini as US General Manager. 

Advisors: 

Eric Wangler (Pittsburgh, PA) - President of Global Legal Market at BigHand, where he played a critical role in growing the Company 10x through market and product expansion in North America. 

Steve Couling (Chicago, IL) - Chief Sales Officer at Relativity with nearly three decades of technology sales experience, driving sales and revenue operations during a period of 10x+ growth for the largest eDiscovery platform in the world. 

Sharon Kopp (Los Angeles, CA) - C-Suite Media & Entertainment executive, Assistant General Counsel, and IP/Tech attorney with experience spanning global law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, Verizon, and Viacom.

Jeffrey Herscott (New York, NY) - Former corporate transactional lawyer at Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett LLP and current VP Global Head of New Sales at Ontra where he leads new customer acquisition focused on the largest private market investment firms globally. Jeff was instrumental in driving 20x+ growth in the business since the Series A.

Min FitzGerald (Vancouver, Canada) - Head of Global Monetization and Pricing at Clio, where she built the Company’s first monetization function, driving double-digit compounded annual revenue growth and NRR expansion since team inception.

Eric Wangler

Eric Wangler is the President of the Global Legal Market at BigHand, where he has played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence and product offerings globally. Originally hired to grow the North American business, the success and growth of the business organically and through M&A lead to a broader remit. With over 25 years of experience in the legal industry, Eric previously served as Vice President of Ricoh’s legal vertical, where he was instrumental in evolving service delivery models for law firms and corporate legal clients. Since joining BigHand in 2013, he has led significant growth initiatives, including the acquisition of several businesses, further enhancing BigHand’s solutions for legal professionals worldwide. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and is recognized for his leadership and commitment to innovation in legal technology.

Steve Couling

Steve Couling joined Relativity's sales team in 2012 as the first non-US hire and built Relativity’s international business, he was appointed Chief Sales Officer in 2024 and now leads Sales and Revenue Operations Globally for Relativity, he has played a key role in growing and scaling the Relativity business both internationally and in North America. He is a seasoned sales leader with nearly three decades of technology sales experience and 17 years working in the e-discovery sector, and brings to our Advisory Network a deep legal technology understanding and is a specialist in building go-to-market teams for corporate, law firm, public sector customers and Legal Service Provider Channel Partners.

Sharon Kopp

Sharon Kopp is a C-suite executive, former attorney (IP/Tech), investor and strategic advisor with deep expertise across entertainment, media, consumer, and AI/technology industries. Her career spans global law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Verizon, Viacom, a family office investment firm, as well as start-up media companies.

Jeffrey Herscot

Jeff has orbited the world of Legal and LegalTech his whole career. He began his career as a corporate transactional lawyer in the New York offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, representing some of the largest financial institutions in the world, like JPMorgan, Blackstone and KKR. As the LegalTech industry started to gain steam, he joined Ontra (fka InCloudCounsel) as one of its first go-to-market hires. In the years since, he's helped scale and lead the global new sales team at Ontra, through the company's Series A and Series B, from a team of only a small handful of people to 400 employees. Jeff brings to Definely his experience as a sales leader, GTM builder, storyteller and corporate lawyer to help the team achieve its goals.

Min FitzGerald 

Min FitzGerald is a seasoned SaaS leader with two decades of experience in global monetization, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. As Clio’s Director of Monetization and Global Head of Pricing & Packaging Strategy, she built and scaled the company’s first dedicated monetization function—driving initiatives that have directly contributed to double-digit annual revenue growth and Clio’s recent $900M USD Series F financing.

A recognized expert in value-based pricing and growth strategy, Min has advised venture-backed startups across North America and the UK, including through the Clio Ventures Fund. At Definely, she brings her deep expertise in monetization design, product packaging, and GTM execution to support the company’s mission to modernize legal document intelligence.

Min is a Y Combinator alumna, former Founder & CEO of a Stanford-StartX backed healthtech startup, and holds advanced degrees from the London School of Economics and Singularity University. She is passionate about helping purpose-driven teams translate innovation into scalable business models that deliver enduring customer and investor value.
